International Freight & Customs Brokerage

Importer of Record

We act as your legal importer in Mexico

Búho acts as the Importer of Record (IOR) for your shipments; managing importer registry enrollment, customs broker coordination, customs declarations (pedimentos), tariff classification (TIGIE tariff code), and duty payments.

All COFEPRIS and NOM-051 registrations are processed under your RFC from day one. If a registration is initially filed under Búho's RFC, we guide you through a structured transition to transfer full ownership to your entity; ensuring you never lose your regulatory assets.

End-to-End Customs Coordination

We work directly with certified customs brokers to manage every step of your import customs clearance: document review, tariff classification, customs declaration filing (pedimento), and duty payments.

We coordinate imports through Mexico's main ports of entry: Manzanillo, Veracruz, Lázaro Cárdenas, and international airports (MEX, MTY, GDL), managing every customs clearance process through a single point of contact.

Regulatory Compliance

COFEPRIS & NOM compliance under your RFC

We manage all the regulatory registrations required for your product category: COFEPRIS permits, NOM-051 filings, bilingual labeling compliance, and industry-specific certifications (SENASICA, among others).

Every registration is processed under your RFC (Mexican tax ID). Búho acts as your regulatory manager, never as the legal owner. This means you can switch providers, scale independently, or bring operations in-house at any time; without losing a single regulatory asset.

The Industry Standard

What Other 3PLs Do

Most 3PL providers register COFEPRIS and NOM-051 under their own RFC as part of a bundled service. When you try to switch providers, those registrations stay with them; forcing you to restart the entire compliance process.

The Búho Approach

What We Do

You own every regulatory asset from day one. We charge for operational activities, never as a percentage of your shipment value (FOB). As your business grows, our margin doesn't increase. Only your efficiency does.

Merchant of Record

Sell in Mexico without a local entity

Búho acts as the Merchant of Record (MOR), allowing you to legally sell to Mexican consumers before establishing a local entity. We manage CFDI invoicing for every sale, MXN payment processing, and monthly VAT filings.

Sell directly through your Shopify store or on Mexican marketplaces (Amazon MX, MercadoLibre, and TikTok Shop) from day one.

The MOR service is designed to be temporary. When you're ready to operate under your own Mexican entity, we guide you through a structured transition so your sales continue without interruption.
